Utah has launched Care About Childcare (CAC), a web-based resource designed to give parents information regarding child care. Utah’s system does not assign a star rating to providers. Instead, Utah considers its QRIS to be a Quality Recognition and Information System. Every child care facility registered with Utah’s Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies has a profile page on CAC. CAC offers providers an opportunity to display indicators of quality they provide the children entrusted to their care. Providers that meet eligibility requirements can voluntarily apply for up to 20 different criteria listed under six specific Quality Indicators to display on their individual profile page.
